Derby County forward Johnny Russell has left England to join MLS side Sporting Kansas City for a fee of £250,000.
The 27-year-old has signed a contract until the end of 2020 and Sporting KC have the option to extend the deal a further year.
Russell, who joined Derby in 2013 from Dundee United, had only six months remaining on his contract at Pride Park.
Sporting KC manager Peter Vermes said: "Johnny Russell is a player with good attacking qualities who we are excited to bring to Kansas City in the very near term.
"We look forward to acclimating him to our club in preparation for the start of the season in just over a month."
Russell's move to America is subject to him successfully completing a medical, as well as receiving an International Transfer Certificate and a P-1 Visa.
The four-time Scotland international will occupy an international slot on Sporting KC's roster.
