Nottingham Forest's busy Deadline Day concluded with the signings of midfielders Jack Colback and Adlene Guedioura.

Colback has joined the club on loan from Newcastle United for the remainder of the season while Guedioura returns to the City Ground on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Colback started his career at Sunderland and spent time on loan at Ipswich Town before joining Newcastle in 2014, where he was part of the squad which lifted the Sky Bet Championship title last season.

But he has not figured at all in Rafa Benitez's plans this season and will spend the rest of the campaign with Aitor Karanka's men.

Forest have also secured the return of Guedioura after his release by Middlesbrough.

The 32-year-old previously played for Forest from 2012 to 2013, signing initially on loan in January 2012 before making his switch permanent ahead of the 2012-13 season.

During his first spell, the Algerian international scored four times in 61 appearances in all competitions, including long-range strikes against Wolves and Leeds United.
