Monaco in the market

Livorno chairman Aldo Spinelli is considering selling Stefano Morrone to Monaco.

Livorno chairman Aldo Spinelli is considering off-loading Stefano Morrone to Monaco.

The Serie A side want a replacement before agreeing to sell Morrone but a deal could be done before the close of play on Tuesday.

"We are studying the important offer from Monaco for Morrone," said Spinelli.

"But coach Roberto Donadoni does not want to release Morrone without a substitute.

"We are looking for a successor, but nothing has been sorted out."

Monaco have already signed Louhans-Cuiseaux forward Alexandre Licata on a three-and-a-half year contract. The 22-year-old is a former Lille trainee who has arrived for an undisclosed fee.

Coach Francesco Guidolin is also tracking Lecce's Lorenzo Stovini and Hajduk Split starlet Niko Kranjcar.
