Piplica dropped for trip to Bielefeld
Energie Cottbus coach Bojan Prasnikar has decided to replace goalkeeper Tomislav Piplica with Gerhard Tremmel.
The former Hertha Berlin custodian gets his chance in the starting line-up at Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday after Piplica's poor performance at home to Duisburg last weekend.
"Tremmel will be in goal against Bielefeld," Prasnikar confirmed to the German press on Thursday.
"The pressure on Piplica in our last game was just too great, although he did play very well in our 0-0 draw at Hertha Berlin.
"Piplica has accepted my decision. He will possibly get another chance," he added.
Rock-bottom Cottbus, who travel to fellow strugglers Arminia still without a win this season, will also have to do without striker Steffen Baumgart and midfielder Jiayi Shao who both picked up injuries this week.
