Keeper unsure of future at Boundary Park

Oldham Athletic goalkeeper Mark Crossley has revealed he has received an offer to join another club in the summer. Crossley, who is also the Latics' goalkeeping coach, is out of contract at the end of the season and is unsure of his future at Boundary Park. He turns 40 in June and is keen to continue playing after recently returning from four months on the sidelines due to a back injury. The former Wales international has confirmed there has been interest from an unnamed club and he is now weighing up his options.

Interesting call

"I've had an interesting phone call," Crossley told the club's official website. "Someone called me asking what the situation was and whether I fancied playing for another year. I can't say who it was, but I can confirm it wasn't Arsenal, though!!! "Obviously the answer was yes because I do want to continue. I'll work through the summer on maintaining and improving my fitness and see what happens. "Nothing's been said here so far, so I'm getting on with my job as normal on the training ground and when I am asked to play." Meanwhile, on-loan winger Fabio Ferreira has headed back to Chelsea after suffering a groin injury in training.
