Fiorentina have been ordered to pay compensation to Le Havre for illegally recruiting one of their players.
The Serie A outfit have been fined 600,000 euros (£534,000) regarding their acquisition of Matthias Lepiller in 2006.
The striker was a talented teenager among Le Havre's academy ranks at the time of his switch to Italy.
Having turned 18 he was offered a contract in France in an effort to fend off interest in his services.
However, Lepiller succumbed to Fiorentina's advances and opted for a move to Florence instead.
The case is the second involving Le Havre to have hit the headlines in recent weeks.
The Ligue 2 outfit are also keen to take action against Premier League giants Manchester United.
They have accused the Red Devils of poaching midfield starlet Paul Pogba, although the men from Old Trafford deny any wrongdoing.
