Bochum goalkeeper pens three-year deal

Bochum have confirmed that goalkeeper Andreas Luthe has penned a new deal with the Bundesliga club. The 22-year-old has signed on for a further three years keeping him at the club until 2013. Luthe has had to play second fiddle to Philipp Heerwagen this season but did enjoy a run of games earlier on in the campaign. Bochum general manager Thomas Ernst believes Luthe's performances this season, whenever he has been called upon, have warranted the new contract. "Andreas Luthe has made a steady progress in his career and also made use of the opportunity we handed him this season," Ernst told the club's official website. "If he goes on like this and is out to make further steps forward in the future, he will have a good career in the game."
