Hain claims to be a target of three Bundesliga clubs

FSV Mainz defender Niko Bungert has signed a three-year contract extension at Bruchwegstadion. The former Germany youth international's previous deal was due to expire in June 2011, but the Bundesliga's second-placed team were happy to offer new terms. Bungert insists that he had no intention of leaving Mainz and so did not hesitate in committing his future to the club. The 24-year-old told Mainz's official website: "I feel great at Mainz and playing for this club. "Therefore, I really had no interest in going elsewhere." Meanwhile, forward Stephan Hain of Bundesliga 2 outfit FC Augsburg has claimed that he is a transfer target of three top-flight clubs ahead of the January transfer window, and reports have suggested that Mainz are one of the interested parties. Hain told Kicker: "I am under contract until the end of the season with Augsburg and I plan to decide my future at Christmas. "I actually have three clubs from the top division asking about me."
