Brown happy to make first signing securing promotion

AFC Wimbledon have made their first signing since securing promotion to the Football League by snapping up former Barnet midfielder Max Porter. The 23-year-old spent two seasons in League Two with Barnet before moving on to Rushden & Diamonds in 2009. Porter is now back in the Football League after Wimbledon boss Terry Brown made his first foray into the transfer market. Brown told the club's official website: "I am delighted to have signed Max. "We know a lot about him as we have been watching him for some time and nearly signed him a couple of years ago. "Max is an England C international and captain who has also played over 50 games in the Football League with Barnet. "He will bring a bit of bite into midfield where we are now very strong, with lots of competition for places."
