Keeper pens three-year contract and will cover loss of Douchez
Rennes have wasted no time in filling their goalkeeping void, with Benoit Costil having been snapped up.
The Ligue 1 outfit saw Nicolas Douchez head for domestic rivals Paris St Germain on Friday, leaving them short in an important area.
They have, however, been able to bring in a replacement almost immediately, with Costil arriving on a three-year contract.
The 23-year-old was available after seeing his contract at second tier outfit Sedan expire.
Costil was voted the best goalkeeper in Ligue 2 by his fellow professionals last season but has not played in the top flight since 2007/08.
A handful of outings at the highest level came during his time at Caen, the club with which he began his career.
