Morecambe have agreed a two-year deal to sign Izak Reid from Macclesfield Town, with the two clubs now discussing a fee. Skysports.com revealed earlier in the week that Morecambe were set to win the race for Reid, who was offered a new deal to stay at Macclesfield. The Shrimps have made two bids for the midfielder and the League Two rivals are now in talks to avoid the issue going to a tribunal. Reid told Morecambe's official website upon signing for Jim Bentley's side: "Jim really sold the club to me and I am delighted to be here. "Jim made it clear that he really wanted me and that was nice to hear. He also spoke so passionately about his hopes for the season and the direction he wants to take the club that it didn't take long to convince me that this was a good move for me. "It's a lovely ground and a great setting and I am sure I am going to enjoy my time here.'' Shrimps boss Bentley added: "Izak is a great signing for us. I have an idea of how I want to play and he fits into that style really well. "He has had some great games against us in the past and I am sure he will be another great asset for us."
