Kenny Miller is on the verge of completing a move to Cardiff after passing his medical with the Bluebirds.
The Championship outfit have been in talks with the Scotland international and were agreeing a fee with his club, Bursaspor, earlier this week.
Cardiff are thought to be paying around £800,000 for the 31-year-old striker, who has previously played in England with Wolves and Derby.
Miller joined Bursaspor in January after scoring 21 goals before the turn of the year for Rangers but he has failed to settle in Turkey.
The Scottish champions were hoping to bring Miller back this summer for a third spell at Ibrox but were unable to meet Bursaspor's asking price so he will now spearhead a likely promotion challenge from Cardiff.
The South Wales outfit have also confirmed the signing of 20-year-old midfielder Filip Kiss on a season-long loan from Slovan Bratislava.
The deal was completed late on Thursday and the Slovakia Under-21 captain is raring to go with the Bluebirds.
"I watched Wednesday's game against Celtic and was very impressed," he told the club's official website. "I'm very excited to be here.
"I will give everything I can as a Cardiff City player and I hope to be successful with the club.
"I want to grow as a player and although I would consider myself a defensive midfielder, I'm happy to play anywhere in midfield."
