Midfielder Evander Sno says he has 'no regrets' after joining RKC Waalwijk but is determined to move on to bigger things in the future.
The 24-year-old Dutchman arrived at promoted Waalwijk in the summer after his contract at Eredivisie giants Ajax expired.
He enjoyed a stint at Scottish high-fliers Celtic before his spell in Amsterdam and spent time on loan at Championship side Bristol City last year.
Sno may not be at Waalwijk for the long-term but is grateful to the club for offering him an opportunity after battling health problems, having suffered a heart attack while playing for Ajax reserves last September.
"I do not regret anything," he told NUSport. "Life is about choices and it's only afterwards that you know whether those choices were good ones.
"I was 19 when I went to Celtic and that was a blast.
"I am 24 years old and I have enough time. Maybe after a year in the Eredivisie with RKC I will make a new step.
"Just because I've seen some things in football it does not make me feel bigger than the other players.
"In any case, I am very grateful that they have given me a chance after the incident with my heart."
Sno claims clubs from Russia and Saudi Arabia were interested in him in the summer, while a proposed move to Genoa fell through.
"When football clubs approached me this summer I was still working in Genoa. That did not happen," he said.
"I also had offers from Russia and Saudi Arabia. The money is good there, but I'm ambitious."
