St Johnstone striker Sean Higgins has been ruled out of action for the next month after suffering a knee injury.
Higgins, who has made three substitute appearances in the SPL since joining from Dundee in the summer, strained a ligament in his knee in training earlier this week.
Saints boss Derek McInnes is disappointed the 26-year-old will be sidelined, but is thankful the injury to Higgins is not more serious.
"He is out for a month so we are disappointed about that," said McInnes. "It was an innocuous incident in training but these things happen.
"Thankfully, there is no real damage, he just felt the ligament strain behind the knee."
Tough game
McInnes admits the impending international break has come at the right time in terms of helping to clear the treatment room but, first of all, he wants to secure victory over Kilmarnock on Saturday.
The Saints boss said: "We will definitely have Frazer Wright, Callum Davidson and Murray Davidson back for the Inverness game in two weeks' time.
"For now, it's important that we pick something up from this game. A positive result against Kilmarnock would make heading into the international break all the sweeter for us.
"We know we will have to work hard for the result as it's always a tough game against Kilmarnock. We just have to make sure that we play well."
