Slovakian commits to Eredivisie giants until 2015

Young FC Twente striker Andrei Rendla has extended his contract to keep him in Enschede until summer 2015. The 21-year-old Slovakian arrived in Holland four years ago from native club Dukla Banska Bystrica. Twente chairman Joop Munsterman has been impressed by Rendla's perseverance after a serious knee injury twice threatened his career. "Andrei has worked hard to come back. We have great respect for him," Munsterman told Twente's official website. "Having turned 21 just last month he is a very talented player with a career ahead of him. "We wished to give him the opportunity to develop further. We are happy to have tied him down for a new period."
