French striker David Trezeguet says he is excited about the 'latest adventure' in his career after signing for River Plate in Argentina. The former Juventus hitman - who hit over 170 goals for the Italian giants - has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal after an unhappy five-month spell with Baniyas. River Plate are currently in the second tier of Argentine football, but the 34-year-old is adamant Los Millonarios can make a quick return to the top flight. "When the opportunity to come here appeared, I did not think twice," said Trezeguet. "Football is a passion and I could not live that in Arabian football. "Playing at River is a unique experience for any player. This will be an enriching and important experience. I am well aware of where I am - I think I can live the best moments of my career here. "My goal is the same as everyone else's... we want to secure promotion as quickly as possible." Trezeguet, a World Cup winner with France in 1998, added: "This is the beginning of an adventure that I hope will end in the best possible way. This will be a new experience in every way."
