Oxford have acquired striker Mehdi Kerrouche from League Two side Swindon on a one-month loan deal.

The 26-year-old has scored eight times in 18 games for Paolo Di Canio's side this season but has fallen behind Raffaele De Vita, Paul Benson, Alan Connell and Ronan Murray in the pecking order. The U's have been keen to add a striker to their ranks now injured trio Alfie Potter, Tom Craddock and Jon-Paul Pittman face time on the sidelines. Oxford manager Chris Wilder told the club's official website: "We are delighted that Mehdi is joining us for a month at least. "At the moment we have eight games in the next month and are pleased to have been able to bring in a striker who has scored goals wherever he has been, and especially in this league already this season." Meanwhile, the U's have confirmed fellow striker Matthew Fletcher has left the club after his short-term deal expired.
