Neil Lennon admits he can understand Pawel Brozek's frustration at his failed time at Celtic, but feels the striker was always a 'little bit short'.
Brozek joined the Bhoys on loan from Trabzonspor during the January transfer window in the hope of securing regular first-team football.
However, he has made just three appearances in the SPL and the Poland international has not been offered a permanent deal at Parkhead.
The 29-year-old was unhappy with Lennon regarding his lack of playing time, but the Celtic boss has explained why Brozek was often overlooked.

"We took a chance with him," said Lennon.
"I thought he had plenty of opportunity to show us that he was ready to play but he always looked to me to be a little bit short.
"I wish him well and I can understand his frustration but at the same time I had a championship to win and games to win and I couldn't wait for Pawel, at that stage he needed to work a little bit harder on the physical side of the game."
Meanwhile, Lennon has suggested that Mexico international Efrain Juarez will leave Celtic on a permanent basis in the summer when he returns from a loan spell at Real Zaragoza.
Lennon told the
Evening Times: "Efrain hasn't figured that much this season, even during his loan time at Zaragoza, and it might be best for him to move on and try to further his career elsewhere."
