Ball hopes to settle at Town

Striker David Ball is hoping for a settled period in his career at League Two newcomers Fleetwood Town.

Ball spent time on loan with Swindon during his days on Manchester City's books and was twice sent out to Rochdale by Peterborough last season. The 22-year-old joined the Cod Army over the summer and said he would like his long-term future to lie at the Highbury Stadium. "I'd like to think so," he said. "At Peterborough I always had a good record there and I didn't really get the chance, probably, I thought I deserved. "But that happens in football and I've had my spells outside to learn and stuff like that. "Now I'm here and I've signed a three-year contract. I just wanted to get back up north, really enjoy myself and put my full thought into my football."
