Crawley Town striker John Akinde has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

Akinde, 23, was signed by former manager Steve Evans in June 2011 from Bristol City and made 40 appearances for the club - 32 as a substitute - and scored one goal. Current Town boss Richie Barker told the club website: "John has turned down several offers to go on loan this season and we he has now decided to look elsewhere to re-start his career. "We thank him for his services to the club and wish him all the best for the future."
