PSG took another significant step towards their first Ligue 1 title in 19 years as they comfortably saw off the challenge of 10-man Nice at Parc des Princes with a comfortable 3-0 victory.
Jeremy Menez opened the scoring after 10 minutes, while a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty - awarded following a foul by David Ospina that saw the Nice goalkeeper sent off - and Clement Chantome's late effort completed a one-sided outcome.
The result means PSG move onto 70 points, nine clear of nearest challengers Marseille with five games remaining.
However, while the latest win is no doubt sweet, Ancelotti still has a sour taste in his mouth after PSG threw away their chance of a Coupe de France and Ligue 1 double when they lost out on penalties in their quarter-final against Evian last week.
"It was a very good game," the PSG manager said after the Nice result.
"We started well, showing a lot of intensity and aggression. We were solid. I think that was the key.
"We immediately took control of the game, and the team stayed compact and won back the ball well.
"I don't understand how we can be so bad against Evian and so good this evening. We have to improve our consistency.
"This team has a lot of quality.
"Of course you can't be happy after a game such as the one at Evian.
"Tonight's match was important. We've got a nine-point lead again, which means the title is closer. It's easy to be motivated."
PSG will resume their Ligue 1 title push at Evian on Sunday.
