Crawley defender Kyle McFadzean will be fit and raring to go next season following a nightmare campaign.

The 26-year-old was sidelined from November by a debilitating virus but has just completed two weeks' rehabilitation at the FA's training base at St Georges Park in Burton. He told Town's website: "I'm feeling really good now. I am completely free of the virus and it's now a case of preparing for pre-season on June 26. "I'm going to Dubai for a holiday and a few of the lads will be going to Ibiza for Josh Simpson's stag party but then it's back getting ready to go again. "I just want to put the last six months behind me. It's been awful to be honest although it has made me appreciate how much I love the game and how lucky I am to be a professioanl footballer. I want to get back fitter and stronger than ever and help the club push on next season. "To be honest, it was even hard watching us play games and not being involved at places like Bramall Lane when we beat Sheffield United was difficult. I just had to rest to get rid of the virus but I am really determined now to come back and push on next season."
