Gillingham boss Martin Allen has placed Charlie Lee and Adam Birchall on the transfer list.
Midfielder Lee, 26, made 35 appearances last season while 28-year-old striker Birchall played 15 times but failed to find the net. Allen told the club's official website: "I spoke with Charlie Lee and Adam Birchall to let them know that they will be made available for transfer. Both are good players, both have been good professionals, both players are really good people and this is a tough decision for me." Allen is looking to strengthen his newly-promoted squad ahead of their crack at League One next season. "I have just returned from Dubai after two days of discussions with the chairman and things are moving along nicely," he added. "We are in the middle of negotiations with several players and waiting for people to come back off holiday so that we can weigh up our options and make final decisions."
