Oxford midfielder Andy Whing has signed a new contract that could keep him at the Kassam until 2016.

The 26-year-old former Coventry and Brighton man, who has been with the U's since 2011, has signed a new two-year deal with an option for a third year. "It's good to sign and to get things sorted and now it's all about coming back for pre-season ready to go," he told the club's official website. "The whole club is set up for success and as players we have a real determination to make that happen in the coming season. The fans are brilliant and there is a lot to look forward to here." Whing becomes the third player to sign a new deal this week after Tyrone Marsh and Max Crocombe put pen to paper.
