Dany N'Guessan has new Swindon team-mate Darren Ward to thank after the defender's reference persuaded the Robins to sign him.
Boss Mark Cooper pursued the striker for four weeks before eventually snapping up the 26-year-old when his contract was terminated and he explained the role N'Guessan's former Lions team-mate had in the deal. "Darren Ward knows him well from Millwall and Darren gave him a good reference and that was key," he told the Swindon Advertiser. "If Darren gives somebody a good reference we know they must be a decent character. "He's good technically, he's physical, he's got a bit of pace about him and he can score goals. He gives us the option playing out wide or down the middle."
