Team of the Week

Hugo Lloris - Tottenham
The Frenchman had no chance with John Terry's equaliser for Chelsea in the 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane on Saturday, and pulled off some really smart saves over the course of the match - including a brilliant stop to deny Andre Schurrle in a one-on-one situation in the second half.
Steven Caulker - Cardiff
Caulker's decision to leave the English capital for the Welsh capital is looking a wise one ahead of next summer's World Cup. Should Roy Hodgson's side qualify, the centre-back looks a good bet for a squad spot. He powerfully headed home Cardiff's opener in their 2-1 win at Fulham on Saturday and had another goal disallowed, whilst he also defended stoutly at the other end.
John Terry - Chelsea
Terry was back to his commanding best in the Blues rearguard at Tottenham on Saturday and popped up with the second-half equaliser, heading in Juan Mata's flighted free-kick. He also had the highest passing accuracy of any Chelsea player who started the match, and made seven crucial clearances.
Abdoulaye Faye - Hull
A man mountain for the Tigers in their 1-0 home win over West Ham, Faye didn't put a foot wrong against his former club. Now 35, he has quickly formed a solid centre-back partnership with Curtis Davies and is showing the sort of power and consistency that won him accolades at Stoke.
Morgan Amalfitano - West Brom
Amalfitano won his first and only cap to date for France as recently as 18 months ago, and a recall could be on the cards if he continues to shine on loan at Albion. He looked to have it all to do when he went on the attack against Manchester United early in the second half at Old Trafford, but showed great skill and pace to bag the opener in the Baggies' surprise 2-1 victory.
Leandro Bacuna - Aston Villa
Holland Under-21 international Bacuna has been used as an attacking right-back and in midfield this season, but it is in the latter position that he looks to have the strongest claim for a long-term role in Paul Lambert's Villa side. He put in a fantastic performance in the 3-2 home win over Manchester City, assisting the first equaliser for Karim El Ahmadi and scoring a fantastic free-kick for Villa's second, curling the ball over the wall and into the top-left corner, leaving Joe Hart rooted to the spot.
Ross Barkley - Everton
The 19-year-old scored his first league goal at Goodison Park in the 3-2 win over Newcastle on Monday Night Football and also combined superbly with Romelu Lukaku throughout the match. Martinez has called him "a diamond of English football" - one that admirers Chelsea are said to prize particularly highly - and although there are some rough edges to smooth out, he's a sparkling talent to watch.
Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal
Ramsey kept up his superb start to the campaign with another excellent goal at the Liberty Stadium, where he was a constant threat to Swansea. Having already claimed an assist for Serge Gnabry's opener, the Welshman netted after a delightful team move - Olivier Giroud and Jack Wilshere combined to set him up, and he stepped inside his defender and drilled a confident finish into the top corner. Ramsey is also proving to be one of the league's toughest tacklers - he's widely considered to be the player of the season so far.
Stephane Sessegnon - West Brom
Excellent all afternoon as Albion put the champions to the sword, Sessegnon has to squeeze in on the left in our Team of the Week but that should be no problem for a player of his talents. Clearly the Benin international was looking for focus after losing his way under Paolo Di Canio at Sunderland, and he's been given direction and renewed determination by Steve Clarke.
Luis Suarez - Liverpool
Daniel Sturridge has already made several appearances in previous Teams of the Weeks this season and although he again turned in an excellent display at Sunderland on Sunday, it's two-goal Luis Suarez who edges him out here. The pressure on the Uruguayan to quickly prove his worth on his Premier League return did not seem to faze him one iota and his second goal on Wearside crucially put the game out of Sunderland's reach and eased Liverpool's worries. His first came from a great attacking move from the visitors and showed the danger posed by the new 'SAS' strike partnership.
Romelu Lukaku - Everton
A home debut to remember - Newcastle couldn't handle on-loan Lukaku in the first half at Goodison in Monday Night Football. Only three strikers have scored more top-flight goals than him in 2013, and he's the sixth youngest player to hit the 20 milestone in Premier League history. But there's sometimes a subtlety about him too - witness the way he rolled the ball inside Yanga-Mbiwa for Barkley to score Everton's second - and that mix of steel and silk bodes well for the Toffees as they look to continue their unbeaten run.
