Bury goalkeeper Trevor Carson has joined Portsmouth on a three-month loan deal.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper, who started all of the Shakers' last five league games, will remain with Pompey until the beginning of the new year.
Carson will not be eligible to face his parent club when the sides meet on October 19.
