Bond ends Colchester stay

Andy Bond has left Colchester United after three and a half years with the League One club.

The 27-year-old midfielder has had his contract terminated by mutual consent after appearing over 100 times for the U's. Bond has been out on loan this season with Bristol Rovers, who are managed by former Colchester boss John Ward. Since that deal finished in October Bond has played just six times for Colchester and, with five months remaining on his deal, has reached an agreement with the club that will allow him to move on.
