Charlton striker and AFC Wimbledon loanee Michael Smith is in talks over a permanent switch to Swindon.
The 22-year-old has only recently returned from a successful loan spell at Wimbledon, where he scored 10 goals 25 games. Dons manager Neal Ardley was understandably keen to bring Smith back to the club for the second half of the season if he was not needed by Charlton. But Addicks boss Chris Powell confirmed following their 3-0 FA Cup win at Oxford on Tuesday night that Smith was in negotiations with the League One side over a move to the County Ground.
