Lewis issues rallying cry

Captain Stuart Lewis admits his Wycombe side need to "stand up" and "be men" if they are to get out of their relegation battle.

Only goal difference separates Gareth Ainsworth's men from the 23rd-placed Torquay and their skipper did not mince his words when it came to assessing the struggle they face to stay in the Football League. "Every day I work hard to get a win and turn it around and everyone needs to do that, but we are in a relegation battle, there are no two-ways about it," he admitted to the club's official website. "It's about being a man now, taking a deep breath and pulling your shoulders back. "We need to put the ball in the back of the net, that's the bottom line and we haven't done that in the last four or five games. We've only scored two or three during that time and that's not enough. We need to stand up, be men and take what comes at us. "We're all behind Gaz (Ainsworth) and I don't think it's a lack of commitment. That's there, it's about the finer moments."
