Wycombe Wanderers have signed Brentford centre-back Aaron Pierre on a one-month loan deal.
Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth has moved to strengthen his defence with Gary Doherty sustaining a serious arm injury in the recent win against Chesterfield. "He's very strong, senses danger and is a no-nonsense defender," said Ainsworth. "He can be a threat in the opposition box as well and he's very much in the Anthony Stewart mould. "He's a quick, powerful and young defender. "With Doc breaking his arm, the intention was to add to the squad and the board have been great. "We've used the contacts we've got at Brentford and a big thank you must go to Mark Warburton for letting us have him for a month." Pierre, 21, who started his career at Fulham, has made two appearances for Brentford this season and has also spent time on loan at Cambridge United. He will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game at Southend.
