Frampton suffers setback

Image: Andy Frampton: Injury comeback delayed

Andy Frampton's return from injury for AFC Wimbledon was cut short on Wednesday night.

The defender, who has been sidelined since dislocating his shoulder against Scunthorpe in January, started for the Dons' reserves in their London Senior Cup tie against Cray Wanderers. But Frampton had to go off early in the second half after twisting his ankle which could delay his return to the first team. However, manager Neal Ardley did receive some good news after midfielder Peter Sweeney came through the full 90 minutes of the 2-1 win after 10 weeks out with a fractured metatarsal. Sweeney could now be in contention for Saturday's home game against York.
