Togwell back, Bennett goes

Chesterfield have recalled Sam Togwell from his loan at Wycombe, while on-loan striker Mason Bennett has returned to parent club Derby.

Both loans were set to end on Saturday but Spireites manager Paul Cook and Rams head coach Steve McClaren have ended the deals early due to injury and suspension problems in their respective squads. Togwell, who made three starts and one substitute appearance for Wanderers, returns to boost Cook's options in midfield with Ollie Banks ruled out for the remainder of the season and Jimmy Ryan set to start a ban. Bennett, 17, made six appearances for Chesterfield, including an outing off the bench in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy final defeat to Peterborough at Wembley last month. Cook said: "We felt it was necessary to bring Sam Togwell back to the club now that Ollie is out. I'd like to thank Steve McClaren for allowing Mason Bennett to spend time with us. Mason is a great lad with a bright future and we wish him well for the future."
