Leyton Orient have confirmed defender Gary Sawyer has signed a new one-year contract.

The 28-year-old joined midfielder Lloyd James in committing his future to the O's on Thursday. Sawyer has put pen to paper on a 12-month deal - with potential to run longer - as manager Russell Slade continues to shape his squad for another promotion tilt next season. The left-back has made 70 appearances in two years and was an unused substitute as the O's were beaten on penalties by Rotherham in the play-off final on Sunday.
