David Luiz says that Brazil are taking nothing for granted at the World Cup despite being favourites to lift the trophy on home soil.
Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side enter their final Group A game needing a point against Cameroon to secure their place in the last 16, after failing to truly convince in their 3-1 win over Croatia or 0-0 draw with Mexico.
Confederations Cup glory last summer prompted many into believing that Brazil would be best-suited to claim a sixth World Cup this time around, but Luiz insists that they now face a sterner test a result.
He said: "We know we can get better and grow but we also know what we’re up against.
"When you compare the Confederations Cup with the World Cup it’s not the same, all the teams are well prepared for the tournament. The level now is very high.
"Many teams have studied us it’s harder now. We know we have to do what Scolari tells us but that’s the World Cup, each game is harder than the one before.
"We have to improve a few things but we do that by playing more games."
