Allsop relishing Coventry move

Goalkeeper Ryan Allsop is delighted to be a Coventry player after joining the club on a half-season loan from Bournemouth last week.

The 22-year-old shot-stopper has been with the Cherries since January 2013, making 15 appearances for the club in 2013/14, and he joins as part of the deal which saw Callum Wilson go the other way. Allsop told the club's website: "I was delighted to get the deal done so I can come here and get games for the club. It is a massive club and the set-up here is unbelievable. "I've been really impressed with the quality of the squad. The players like to receive the ball in tight spaces and they're always looking to test each other." Allsop arrives at the Sky Blues battling Lee Burge for the number one spot and he is looking forward to the challenge. "Lee is a top lad and from what I've seen, he is a really good goalkeeper. He works really hard and I think it will be good competition for both of us. "We both want to claim the No.1 spot and I'm sure we will push ourselves to get better over the coming weeks."
