Blackpool have completed their fourth signing of the week after striker Nathan Delfouneso agreed terms to return to the Sky Bet Championship club.

The 23-year-old has had two previous spells on loan at Bloomfield Road and he is now set to put pen to paper on a one-year contract – with the option of a further year – subject to a medical.

Delfouneso, who has also had loan spells with Burnley, Leicester and Coventry, was a free agent after being released by Aston Villa at the end of last season.

The former England U21 international scored seven goals for the Seasiders two seasons ago and also featured for the club last term.

He has been on trial with Blackpool for several weeks and scored twice in the 4-0 friendly victory at Penrith.

Delfouneso's official arrival brings the total number of players on the club's books to 12 following the signings of Jacob Mellis, Tomasz Cywka and Peter Clarke on Monday.
