Hartlepool have completed the double signing of Ryan Brobbel and Michael Woods.

Brobbel, a winger, has completed his move on a month-long loan from Middlesbrough. The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at fellow League two outfit York, making 21 appearances and netting four times. The exciting prospect is highly-rated at Riverside and he was handed a new two-year deal by the club in the summer. Woods, 24, has signed for Pools after an initial trial period and he featured in their pre-season matches with Bradford Park Avenue and Spennymoor Town. Woods came through the academy at Chelsea and he was most recently at non-league side Harrogate Town and Colin Cooper has handed him a deal as aims prove himself again in professional football. The double signing of Brobbel and Woods comes as a hat-trick of new arrivals at Victoria Park on Friday morning as the Pools re-signed midfielder Tommy Miller after his release from Swindon.
