Sky Sports understands Bristol Rovers striker Ryan Brunt is a target for a number of clubs on loan.

Rovers are thought to be open to the idea of letting Brunt depart for a spell so that he can get some valuable first-team action under his belt.

The former Stoke youngster is keen to make a temporary switch in a bid for much-needed game time after seeing his season last term curtailed early by injury.

The 21-year-old found himself out of action from November onwards last term with a knee injury, but he is now back in action and is determined to build up his match fitness.

Brunt, who joined Rovers from Stoke in January 2013, scored five goals in 18 games in his first season at the Memorial Stadium, playing a key role in helping them stay up in League Two that campaign.

Several Football League clubs have been alerted to Brunt's availability on loan and his suitors are now hoping to take the powerful target-man on a temporary basis as they look to bolster their attacking options.
