Watford have confirmed they will appeal Gabriele Angella's red card during Friday night's Championship clash at Bournemouth.
The Italian defender was sent off by referee Lee Probert inside the first minute of the match for a foul on Callum Wilson but the Hornets felt team-mate Craig Cathcart was the last man.
After the game, which Watford lost 2-0, boss Slavisa Jokanovic said: "In England for it to happen after 25 seconds like this, it is a joke."
If the appeal is unsuccessful Angella faces a two-match ban as it was his second dismissal of the season.
