Wood staying with Crawley

Rotherham defender Richard Wood has extended his loan spell with Crawley until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old centre-half initially joined Town 24 hours before their game at Swindon in February and has gone on to make seven appearances, scoring two goals. Crawley manager Dean Saunders told the club website: "We're delighted to have Woody with us until the end of the season. He's made a big difference since he came here with his ability and experience. "I would also like to thank (Rotherham manager) Steve Evans for agreeing to extending the loan period. Steve has been great in helping his old club out over this and it is much appreciated." Championship side Rotherham have a 24-hour recall option on Wood.
