Ajax have signed striker Arkadiusz Milik on a permanent deal from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 21-year-old has been on loan with the Dutch club since the start of the season and has scored 23 goals in 33 matches.

He joined Leverkusen in January 2013 but, after making just six appearances, was loaned to Augsburg before joining Ajax in the summer.

A statement from Ajax read: "Ajax has reached an agreement with Arek Milik and Bayer Leverkusen. In Amsterdam, the centre forward has signed an agreement which goes into effect on July 1, 2015, and runs for four seasons, until June 30, 2019."

Unfortunately for Ajax, the Poland international is likely to be out for several weeks after suffering a knee injury in his country's 1-1 draw with Republic of Ireland on Sunday.
