Real Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal says the forthcoming arrival of Danilo has not forced him to consider his future at the club.
Carvajal, who came through the ranks at Real Madrid and rejoined the club in 2013 after spending a year at Bayer Leverkusen, has established himself as Carlo Ancelotti’s first-choice right-back over the past two seasons.
However, there are fears that he will play significantly less next term after the club agreed a £23million deal to sign Porto's right-back.
But Carvajal has welcomed the prospect of competing with the Brazilian and says he has no intention of leaving the Bernabeu.
“The signing of Danilo is good," he said after the 2-0 win at Rayo Vallecano. "We are at the best club in the world and competition is always good.
"It’s normal that we compete with the best in the world.
“Right now Danilo is not here. I will be with him next year and I will compete with him and we will try to play as much as possible.
“A few days ago I read an article that [said that] I want to go. Far from it. This is my home and I am going to give it all for this [club] badge."
