Carlisle have confirmed the departure of midfielder Anthony Griffith as he goes in search of regular first-team football.
The 28-year-old made 11 appearances for the Cumbrians after signing a short-term deal in January.
Boss Keith Curle told Carlisle's official website: "Anthony was brought in to do a job for the football club and he did that for us.
"The work through the summer has been to reshape the squad, as everyone has seen, and Anthony wasn't going to get the pitch time he would want going forward, and that we all feel he would need at this stage of his career.
"We sat down and spoke honestly about that and we agreed that he would be better to go and get the football game time he deserves elsewhere."
