Connor Essam's move to Leyton Orient is complete after the Sky Bet League 2 side agreed a fee with non-league Dover.
The O's announced the signing of the 23-year-old defender on July 27, but Athletic were entitled to compensation due to his age.
A Football Association tribunal was poised to rule on a fee, but Orient on Wednesday announced agreement had been reached with Dover.
"Leyton Orient are pleased to announce today that an undisclosed fee has been agreed with Dover Athletic in regards to the sale of Connor Essam," a statement on the O's' website read.
"No FA tribunal will be required and throughout this transfer the club have always acted in a correct, professional manner."
Essam has signed a one-year deal.
