Tomas Rosicky could be out of action for up to two months as he recovers from recent knee surgery, according to his agent Pavel Paska.

The Arsenal midfielder suffered the injury during a European Qualifier in Iceland in June and missed the Gunners' Community Shield victory against Chelsea and their 3-0 league defeat to West Ham.

Despite signing a one-year contract extension in May, the Czech Republic captain has been linked with a move to former club Sparta Prague but insists he does not want to leave the Emirates.

Paska said the 34-year-old "underwent an arthroscopic surgery on his knee on August 4.

"The recovery is expected to take four to eight weeks."
