Striker Shaquile Coulthirst is the latest player through the DW Stadium entrance door after joining Wigan on loan until November.
The Tottenham forward, 20, has already spent time on loan with Leyton Orient, Torquay, Southend and York and now joins a Latics side that have lost both of their opening fixtures.
"He's a young player full of potential and needs experience, we will see how he progresses," boss Gary Caldwell told the club's official website.
"His qualities will certainly bring something new to the group and provide competition up front. He's here for three months then we will see how things go."
Coulthirst is the 16th signing Caldwell has made in a summer of much change.
