Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil insists his side know exactly how to beat Liverpool on Monday Night Football.

The 26-year-old, who boss Arsene Wenger says has overcome his initial difficulties since joining the club, claims the manager gave players specific tactical directions that led to a 4-1 home win in April.

Ozil said: "I remember that we delivered a really convincing display. In the first half we decided the game because we had a high level of concentration and wanted to utilise our potential.

"The manager gave us tasks on the pitch and we executed them perfectly and that's what we will have to do on Monday again. We are at home and we know exactly how we can beat Liverpool.

"We have to believe in ourselves, as we have the potential to beat every team, and we will show that on Monday too."

Wenger praised Ozil in his pre-match press conference on Friday for overcoming doubts about his ability to cut it in the Premier League, following a £42.5m move from Real Madrid in 2013.

Wenger said: "Mesut is now completely committed to the club. I believe now he is completely on board and focused on the results of the club.

"Maybe in the first year he didn't know a lot about it. He didn't know whether it would work for him and how long it would take, or whether he would enjoy it or not."
