After Liverpool beat Stoke on Tuesday evening, Manchester City travel to Everton for the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final on Wednesday - live on Sky Sports. But who will come out on top?
Soccer Saturday pundit Charlie Nicholas makes his prediction below...
Everton v Manchester City (Wednesday, 7.30pm, live on Sky Sports 1 HD)
Charlie says: Everton are not clinical enough up front or defensively for me and it's costing them.
Tom Cleverley has done well but I prefer James McCarthy in there and when he doesn't play I think they suffer. They also over-pass, for me. They have to find a solution to their style of play and need to start grinding out wins.
Having said that, they have a good record at home against Man City, who I think will rest one or two and are really poor on the road.
Everton are safe and I think the majority of their supporters would want the chance to see their team play at Wembley in a major final. I'm not saying they can't finish in the top four in the Premier League this season, of course they can, but it's a game they should go for and try and win - and I have a sneaky feeling they will.
Charlie predicts: Everton 2-1 Man City with Barkley scoring first (60/1 with Sky Bet)
