Jurgen Klopp has said Adam Lallana will not travel to Germany for Liverpool's Europa League tie with Augsburg on Thursday, but Lucas will return to the squad.

Lallana has a calf problem and will stay at Melwood for treatment but Lucas is back in the reckoning following a hamstring problem.

Lallana has missed the last two games while Lucas sat out Sunday's 6-0 win at Aston Villa.

"Lucas is back fit but not Adam - he has no chance for Thursday's game," Klopp told the club's website.

Klopp also said Kevin Stewart is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury in training. The highly-rated midfielder made his league debut as a substitute at Villa Park.

All of Kevin Stewart's appearances for Liverpool have been in this season's FA Cup campaign

"We lost Kevin Stewart in training," Klopp said. "He blocked a shot and his ankle was not stable.

"It was a bit bruised so we have sent him for a scan. We think it's the ligament. He trained outstandingly and then this happened. That's not too good."
